August 2 - We celebrated Courtney one day late!

Brian, Maden, Annie, Aubrey and Blake tried to play volley ball. Clark and Declan were trying to drop a ball into the cups.  Scottlynn got her hands all dirty playing drums on the side tables outside. 

August 3 - I went to Pocatello to watch Maden play tennis.  He came from behind and won the match.

August 6 - A very smokey sun and sky.

August 7 - The Brody Tree is looking really good.

August 11 - I love sunsets!

August 14 - Luau at Parkwood with Mom, Dad, Michelle and kids and Lynne and Rob. Then I tried to curl Mom's hair.  

August 15 - Maden is watching Scottlynn paint.

August 16 - Blake is sweeping the puddles out of the driveway.

We went to Coeur d'Alene for anesthesia meetings and these pictures are at the resort. We had a nice patio off our room with a beautiful lake view.  They had this huge fish tank with huge fish in the lobby.

August 17 - we took a little boat trip around the lake. It's very pretty and big. The menu at the restaurant were iPads!

August 18 - We went to the Spokane, Washington Temple. It was a very nice small temple.

August 19 - We went to Cat Tales in Mead, Washington.  They have rescue animals of all kinds. It was hot, so the animals were not very active.  Blake had to pet the cat that was roaming around. 

Our patio was not in a very good place to see the sunset, but it was beautiful.

We watched some kids do a little cliff diving into the lake.

August 21 - We went to the Helena, Montana temple. It's another nice small 

temple. Now we have been to 51 different temples.

We found this cat on the lawn when we got home.

August 22 - We went to my Aunt Arlene's funeral in Trenton, Utah. My cousin, Rita has taken good care of her for many years. Lynne and I had a nice visit with Aunt Jan.

They lowered the casket into the hole while we were there.

It was so good to see so many cousins and relatives.

We had another visitor when we got home.

August 23 - Penny, Scottlynn and Cole having fun with the Connect 4 game. Can you see Scottlynn in the green circle. 

August 27 - Penny's first day staying with me in the new school year.  Apparently it was "Sunflower Day"! That's what she told me as we redecorated the front porch and entry way.

August 29 - We took a little drive to Arco, We went to the EBR1 exhibit and to eat at Pickles Place. 

August 30 - Beautiful sunrise!

Scottlynn is a big girl now!

August 31 - Everyone is back in school! How did they get so old?

We ended the month with a huge thunderstorm! It was raining buckets!
