Star Valley Temple

Friday, September 30, 2016

There is a new temple temple in Afton, Wyoming, so we decided that we would like to go to the open house.  Randy and Courtney, Jared, Nikelle and Molly, and Blake and I made the trip.  Grandma Beth was kind enough to babysit Ryder while we went.

It is a beautiful little temple, we loved seeing it.  Molly was a great little traveler, it was a very nice little trip.

Spud Harvest

September 27, 2016

We always try to go get some potatoes when Bart is digging.  This year Randy was so excited to take Ryder to see the tractors.

First, we went to the cellar, Ryder loved the dirt, the potatoes and the tractor.

Then, he got to ride in a big truck with Grandpa and cousin Sharla.  The potatoes look really good this year.

Finally, we got to the field to see the big tractors! Ryder got to ride in the tractor with his daddy and Uncle Bart.  It was a fun day.

Bear Lake

We took a little trip over to Garden City, Utah.  Blake and I, Randy, Courtney and Ryder, Jared, Nikelle and Molly and Brian (Celia and the kids were in Colorado) loaded up and took off. We planned to have a little fun in Garden City on Saturday, then go to Woodruff, Utah on Sunday for my nephew Joseph Leifson's mission farewell.

There is never a dull moment with these two little munchkins! Molly loves little chairs, and made a seat out of anything.

On Saturday, Blake and I spent some time out side with these two.  Ryder loves rocks and was very happy to just sit and play in the rocks. Molly loved doing bubbles.

We all had a great time in the pool.  This is the only picture I seem to have of the boating fun. They even did some fishing.

Boat!

September 2016

Blake and Randy and Jared have been talking about buying a boat for a quite some time.  They found a used one online that looked pretty good, so we bit the dust and bought it.

Blake and I picked it up on Saturday, September 10th and brought it on home.  The kids were all excited to check it out.

We took it out on a maiden voyage to Jensen's Grove.  There were a few little hiccups as we were trying to get it in the water and going, but then it worked great.

We all had fun, and enjoyed the little ride.  I'm sure there will be many more to come.

Eastern Idaho State Fair

September 3-10, 2016

We started off fair week by going to the parade. We had to park far away because there was a train on the tracks where we planned to go.  Clark enjoyed the wagon ride there. The kids like this parade because there is a ton of candy to catch.

After the parade, we went over to the fair.  There are always so many fun activities to enjoy at the fair.  Annie was a tough little girl to pull her brothers in the wagon.

After a while, Molly and Ryder came too.  They loved the petting zoo and tractors.

Maden's 1st Day of 1st Grade

August 29, 2016

Blake and I got to go see Maden off to school on the first day of first grade.  I can't believe he's that big already!

Maden has a funny little way of smiling for a picture.  We can't believe how big he is and we love him so much!

It was pure luck Brian was able to be there too! We all walked over to the school and found the line for his class.  It looks like the kids are nervous, but it was just so bright that they couldn't look up.

Bike Trailer

For a long time, Blake has wanted a bike trailer so he can take his grandkids for rides.  He decided this was the year, so we went on a hunt for one.  It has been fun, and the kids have loved it.

It works well for one kid, or even 2 bigger kids.

I'm not sure if Clark got a ride or not, if he did, I didn't get a picture of him.  There's always next year! The trailer should be fun for years to come.

Swinging

When Maden was a baby, Celia bought us a red swing for our big swing set. All the kids have loved it.  We decided with the 3 babies, we needed a swing for each of them.  So, we bought 2 more.  They have been well used!

The red swing was used by all the kids, even Annie could still fit in it.

We left one blue swing so bigger kids and adults can swing too.

There are always lots of smiles when the kids are swinging.

So much fun!

Even Cindy and Ken got in on some swinging fun.

Maden and Annie really like the swing in the tree in front.  It's amazing how big they've grown this year.

Donny Osmond Concert

Tuesday, August 9, 2016

I have been a Donny Osmond fan for just about my whole life! He's just a few months older than me, so I grew up hearing his music and falling in love with him.  I even had plans to marry him when I was a teenager (along with every other girl that fell in love with him).  Well, that didn't work out, but when I saw he was coming to do a show in Idaho Falls I decided that I really wanted to go.  I bought 4 tickets thinking that my parents and Blake and I would go.  As it turned out, Blake wasn't able to go, so Nikelle went instead.

It was a great show, I loved it! I think that mom and dad and Nikelle enjoyed it too.  I even decided that I like Donny's adult voice as well or better than his teenage voice I grew up with.

Somehow, we didn't get dad in the picture, but he was there!
