July 2021

July 1 - My parents rented a huge bounce house with an obstacle course and a water slide because my sisters and families were in town.  It was a hot day, but everyone had a great time.  Hallie didn't love the water, so she kind of sat by me most of the time.  Randy took her for a while and was sitting by the house with her, then he left and she just stayed there with Troy Terry and Grandpa Chin Chopper.  It took her awhile to know that Randy had left and she was with "strangers".

July 2 - More Bounce House fun! Jared got to come and play too.  He helped the littles that were a little afraid of the slide, and had a fun little contest with his cousins trying to kick a ball over the fence as they came down the slide.  The bounce house was a huge hit, even thought it tore up the grass.

We had so much fun in the back yard all day long.  Some, however gravitated inside to play other games.  Maden was able to make good friends with my sister Tricia's son, Corbin, who was here from Georgia. They figured out that they are 1st cousins, once removed, and Corbin decided he was one generation ahead of Maden, even though they are just about the same age. They have a lot of the same interests and really connected.

It was my sister Suzanne's birthday, and we happen to all be together, so Mom and Dad, and all 6 of their kids and our spouses went to dinner together.  It was the first time in about 9 or 10 years that we have all been together.  After dinner, we went to a park and my niece Alexis came and took our pictures.
Top picture, L to R Tricia, Richard, me, Blake, Suzanne, Troy Taylor, Dad, Mom, Randy, Julie, Troy Terry, Shauna, Rob and Lynne.
Bottom left picture: my parents with all their kids, Suzanne (5th), Shauna (3rd), Tricia (youngest or 6th), Dad, Mom, Randy (2nd), Lynne (4th), me (oldest or 1st). There are 23 years between Tricia and I! I don't think those on the right side got the memo to pose!
Bottom right: All the in-laws.  This is the first time we've ever taken a picture like this, and it's one of my favorites. Julie, Richard, Troy Terry, Troy Taylor, Blake, Rob.

Alexis also took couple pictures of each of us. They turned out so good! Left to right, Dad and Mom, Diana and Blake, Julie and Randy, Troy and Shauna, Lynne and Rob, Troy and Suzanne, Tricia and Richard.

July 3 - The Chambers Family had a mini reunion and an early celebration for Dad's 80th birthday. We had reserved the shelter at Airport Park and had Cleon and Dixie Chapman cater the food.  We gave dad some gifts and a picture that Tricia made.  He loved it.  There were 50 out of 72 members of our family there for dinner.  When Alexis' camera took the picture there were 47 of us there.

While the big kids played some ultimate frisbee, the younger kids played some games by the playground. It was a fun day!

July 5 - Molly and Hallie are having fun in the little play house.

July 6 - Gravel being put in the basement, and garage floors.

July 7 - My orchid is still doing so good, blooming for so long!

July 11 - Annie also found a new cousin.  This is Zoie, Tricia's daughter.  She and Corbin got to stay with Grandpa and Grandma after their parents and little brother went back to Georgia.  Maden and Annie came to play with them 3 or 4 times. They had so much fun!

July 14 - Maden, Annie and Clark came down to play with more cousins in Grandma Beth and Grandpa Paul's back yard.  They had a great time.

Saying goodbye to Zoie and Corbin, or that's what they thought.  They thought it was the last time they would see each other, but it ended up that they got to come down again! They loved spending time together!

The plumbers have been working!

July 15 - Getting ready to pour the cement!

July 17- Blake, Brian, Randy and Courtney went up to the hunting spot to check on the trail cam. They had a great time.

July 20 - The cement in the basement and garage floors is poured!

July 21 -  Nikelle and I were packing up the kitchen, and couldn't reach this lid that was stuck, so Molly to the rescue! Good thing for a little person to get back in the corner.

July 22 - The moving process is beginning.  Brian came a day early to help with a few things because he had to work on the real moving day.

July 23 - Moving Day!  There is already a trailer full at the Red House in Blackfoot.  We were able to use 5 trailers all together, it was nice because they didn't have to load them really tightly.  My nephew Logan Terry was a real hero, he and Jared did all the heavy lifting because Randy's shoulder is hurt, and Blake's too.  Logan also drove one of the trailers down. Jared, Randy and Blake drove the other trailers.

We didn't get any pictures of the guys moving the furniture in or out, but here's all the trailers.  Ryder got to help carry some things in.  We had a line up of trailers and cars.  Hallie was a big girl and napped on the big bed, but she still needed her "baby pink". She took a good long nap.

July 24 - While some of us were busy inside the house putting things away, Brian got the little 4 wheeler out.  Hallie thought it was a great idea, and Annie was sweet to give her rides on it.

July 28 - Oh this Hallie girl! After they had been to story time, they came for a little visit.  Hallie thought she was so funny to pull her little skirt up really high.  She kept doing it over and over, just to make me laugh.

July 29 - Redneck pickle ball! Brian and Jared drew the court with chalk and used bikes and a dolly as the net.  They had a good time learning about the game.

While the grownups are playing their version of pickle ball, Molly, Hallie and Ryder had a great time on tramp.

Wood has been delivered!

July 30 - The framing has started!

July 31 - Road trip! Blake, Randy, Courtney, Ryder and I left Blackfoot at 4am heading for Cindy and Ken's.  Randy drove all day, Blake slept almost all day, Ryder, Courtney and I hung out in the back seat, reading, playing games, being silly, doing dot to dots then coloring them, watching movies and watching the scenery.  We stopped for the night in Lexington, Nebraska.  Of course the hotel was next to a corn field!
