July 2019

Cindy and Ken came on Sunday, June 30, so on Monday July 1st, we went to the Idaho Falls Aquarium.  It's a little pricey and small, but it was fun.  Everyone except Nikelle liked the bird cage even if the birds weren't very friendly.  The porcupine was very funny to see and feel.  (we're not sure why birds and porcupines are at the aquarium.) The most weird thing was the Doctor Fish.  They would just come and stick to your flesh.

More fun with Cindy and Ken....Cindy found the neighbors cat, going to the Soda Factory, swinging on the big swing.  We also went to Rexburg to help Uncle Randy and Aunt Julie unload their moving truck, Ryder and Molly loved the playhouse in their new back yard.

July 2 - Cindy's birthday! We tried to take a Blackfoot City Tour on a Trolley, we went about 5 blocks, learned all about State Hospital South, then the Trolley broke down.  They limped it back to the Potato Museum, and that was all. Cindy tried to read in the big swing, but Randy interrupted her with the lawn mower.  Ken and I tried to surprise Cindy with some fancy Boston Creme Pie Cakes, but she found them! Oh, Cindy turned 37!

Everyone was so kind, and indulged me by taking some family photos.  We went to the Groveland Elementary School and used the red brick for a background.

Loves these kiddos!  Bottom photo, L-R Molly (4), Ryder (4), Annie (6), Brody Bear (2), Hallie (5 months), Clark (4), Maden (9).

Individual Families....My parents Beth & Paul Chambers, Blake & Diana, Cindy & Ken, Brian, Celia, Maden, Annie & Clark, Randy, Courtney & Ryder, Jared, Nikelle, Molly, Hallie & Brody Bear.

And now for the silliest photo of the night.  Our four kids! Jared, Randy, Brian and Cindy. Brian wouldn't put his arm around Cindy, then when he did, it was way awkward!

July 4 - Since Jared and Nikelle were in the parade, Molly spent the night with Ryder. They are all ready to go to the parade.  Jared, Nikelle and Hallie are all ready for the parade.  Nikelle met up with us as we headed for the parade, so Hallie could stay with us.

Here we are at the parade! It was a little chilly, but the kids had a lot of fun!

There goes Jared in his new (to him) pickup, pulling the boat with Nikelle and the Miss Bonneville girls.

After the parade, we met up with Brian and his kids at Wendy's.  The kids thought they were so cool to have a table with just the kids, not adults allowed.

Then everyone came to our house to hang out for awhile.  Maden had given Ryder a lego truck and camper for Ryder's birthday, so he extended the present by putting it together for him.

The kids had the traditional game of Egyptian Rat Screw.  So sad that Randy was working and missed out.  The kids had fun playing games on the iPad, and coloring and painting.

July 6 - Lake Walcott and Rupert - Jared and his family and Randy and Ryder took the boat and kind of camped out in Nikelle's childhood home in Rupert. Blake and I drove over on Saturday morning. They planned to go boating on Lake Walcott, but it was too windy.  Miss Hallie stayed behind with me at the house.  They did go back after lunch and got a little skiing/wake boarding in, until there was lightning and thunder.

July 12 - After all the prep work was done, Jared came and helped wire our automatic sprinkler system. It is so wonderful for the lawn to be watered all by itself!

In July, the Lillies are amazing! So are these cute little posers!

Nikelle sent this picture of Hallie while they were at Rigby Lake.  Isn't she just the cutest thing? Ryder was digging in the dirt with his little shovel, and blowing bubbles with his leaf bubble blower, and posing by the wonderful flowers.

Nikelle had a dentist appointment, so Blake and I went to tend Molly and Hallie.  Brian stopped in with his kids.  They had a lot of cousin fun, and Hallie had a lot of fun with Brian.

July 21 - My dad, Paul Chambers' 78th Birthday.  We had fun seeing him blow the candles out on his pie.  Michelle got her Hallie fix, and Molly played train with Michael and James.

July 30 - Maden got his tonsils out! He was very brave.  His Daddy did his anesthesia.  Everything with the surgery went very well. While he was at my house waiting for surgery time, he asked me to teach him how to crochet. it turned out to be a nice quiet activity durning his recovery.  He recovered very well! It was very strange to have a very quiet Maden while his throat healed.  We knew he was better when he started talking again.
