May 2023

May 1 - My dad is helping Mom stand up again.

May 2 - Brian came and helped Randy put some shelves up his garage. Hallie loves to hold Penny.  I painted this sunset at a Relief Society Activity, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

May 4 -  Such a beautiful sunrise! Hallie said that I have two babies to tend.

May 5 - We got to have Maden and Clark spend a couple of nights. Blake and Maden went to Matsuura's to play tennis, Clark played the switch while they played.

May 6 - Blake took the kids to Ridley's to get donuts, they had a great time playing air hockey, and playing in the boat while the shed was getting reorganized, going to A&W and swinging on the big swing.

May 8 -  Blake and I took a little trip to the Salt Lake area, We stopped in to see his sister Natillie and Mark, who have moved to Lake Point.  We went to eat in Tooele at a great restaurant called Virg's. I'm sad I didn't get any pictures of their cute new house.

May 9 - We went to the Provo City Center Temple.  It is very unique, and beautiful, and of course peaceful.

We found a Krispy Kreme! We were given a gift card to the Melting Pot, and had a great time eating a lot of fondue!

May 10 - Blake got a new haircut!

May 11 -  Penny is happy to try out this new to her bouncy chair.  Hallie took this picture of Randy and Blake. Hallie wanted me to take a picture of the Mother's Day flower for her mom. I got this beautiful Hydrangea from Cindy and Ken.

May 14 - Our May Day Tree is blooming! And it smells so good! I love all the gifts for Mother's Day! Isn't the shirt cute from Jared and Nikelle!

May 15 - Another beautiful start to the day!

May 16 - Oh this Penny girl is a wiggly one!

May 17 - I. got to spend the afternoon with this cute Ryder! First, I went to his school for Young Author's.  I forgot to take a picture at the school, but here's his cute book.  He has really improved in his writing.  Then we went to Idaho Falls to celebrate his birthday coming up on the 23rd.  He will turn 8! We went shopping and he found the video game he wanted, then we went to eat at Red Robin, he was thrilled to play the video game on the table.  Then, we stopped at the Sunnyside Park where he had a great time on this fancy slide.  He is such a smart, happy, talkative, inquisitive, caring, fun young man! We love you, Ryder!

We are loving spring! The May Day tree is gorgeous! The grass is looking good, too!

May 18 - Another wonderful sunrise! The Lily Blake gave me is just beautiful too! It only took an hour for this blossom to fully open.

Randy came over to try out the new scooter, he took Ryder for a couple of spins, then of course Hallie wanted a turn, so Ryder tried to run along.

May 20 - Now, there are two opened blossoms!

Blake bought some vines to plant by the barbed wire fence in the back yard. Hopefully, they will grow up the fence and become like a fence.  We kind of had to tease him, if there's dirt, you gotta plant something in it.

May 21 - Now, three have opened up, it's almost like you can sit and watch them open. So pretty!

Brian and Aubrey's house is coming along! Windows and outside doors are in, plumbing is roughed in, HVAC has started.  It's going to be so nice!

May 22 - We had some of our flowers that didn't survive all the snow this year.  We had to replace 6 plants.  I guess it could have been a lot worse.

Now, there are four blossoms opened up!

May 23 - Blake had some skin cancer removed from his forehead.  He took the first selfie in the bathroom at Dr. Marshall's office.  We went to Longhorn after, and he thought he was scaring all the customers.  He decided to wear one of his  surgical hats to keep pressure on it so it didn't bleed down and give him black eyes.

We had a huge storm! The rain gutters couldn't keep up! The neighbors yard was just a mud pit.  I saw hail that looked like snow on some roofs.

May 24 - I got to go to Hallie's end of the year preschool show.  She knew every word to all the songs! it was cute.

Ryder got to spend the night! We played some air hockey, then went and got Molly and Hallie and went to McDonald's.  They all had fun!

May 25 - I went to help Mom after her shower, she can kind of do her hair alone now.  Just look at that beautiful full smile.

May 26 - They have all opened up! I have loved watching them bloom.

Blake was helping Jared do some wiring, and then they ended up meeting Nikelle, Molly, Hallie and Penny at the cemetery.

May 29 - Memorial Day - We started the day by getting some donuts, then going to the Cemetery, then going to Jared's house for some swinging, playing and eating!

May 30 - Another hard rainfall!

April 2023

April 1 -  Finally, a tennis court with the nets up and no snow!  Blake and Maden had a good time playing some tennis.

April 4 - Surprise! Not really! We woke up to snow!
Here's my mom, in her room at Promontory Point.

May 6 - Doing crafts at Promontory Point.  Tricia, Mom and I, with the help of Brittany and Dad.

May 7 -  Blake is a good Penny tender!

April 8 - A huge day for Molly! She was baptized and confirmed! Grandpa Paul (or Chin Chopper) and Michelle and her family got to come! Somehow I didn't get a picture of Dallin and his family.

Molly is beautiful in her pretty white dress.  Aunt Lynne and Uncle Rob came to the baptism too. Also Blake and I and Brian and Aubrey.  Hallie ran from me to go sit on Brian's lap during the program.

We had a nice brunch at the Groveland Church after the baptism.

I went to promontory point, we got a picture with 4 of us 5 girls. L to R top picture, Shauna, Tricia, Diana, Lynne.  It's so fun to visit Mom and see my sisters, too.

Blake, Brian, Molly, and Hallie had fun playing on the new EScooters and the 4wheeler.

Later, Blake and I, Brian and Aubrey and Jared's family went to dinner at Olive Garden.

April 10 - Tricia organized some painting lessons for Mom and I.

April 11 - A beautiful sunset!

April 12 - This little Penny girl wants to be on the move. First, she tries to sit up, then wants to roll over, so I moved her from the bed to the floor. Yep, immediately rolls over!

Lunch at McDonalds with Hallie and Penny.

Another beautiful sunset!

April 13 - Snow again!

April 14 - Yes, snow again!

This was a tender moment, my dad helped my mom to stand. Truly a milestone!

Maden has been taking tennis lessons, so he decided to play in a tournament.  It was fun to watch him play.

April 15 - We had a post Easter treasure hunt.  The kids had fun "finding" their treasures.  Brian had fun holding Penny girl.

After the treasure hunt, the kids blew bubbles and played with sidewalk chalk, then some of them went to play tennis.

April 16 - Annie, Declan, Brian, Clark, Molly and Hallie had a great time taking the little four wheeler for a spin around the yard.

April 17 - I met Blake and Brian's family for lunch at Idaho Falls Community Hospital, then Blake met Brian and Aubrey and Nikelle and girls at McDonalds later.

April 21 - Oh, this Penny girl! She fell asleep in the little high chair, but she loved playing with the friends on the mat on the floor.  Hallie reminded me that I didn't take a picture of her, so I took two.

April 22 - Blake and Jared trimmed up a bunch of trees in Jared's yard.

Derek and Kenzley came to visit Grandma Beth and decided it was fun to give her some rides.

April 23 - Brian and Aubrey at their new home!

April 25 - Funny Penny, trying to sit up, and so wiggly on her mat, she got her foot caught, and kept rolling over and getting stuck on the posts.  She's now 4 months old!

April 16 - A beautiful sunrise!

April 27 - Started the day out with a gorgeous sunrise, and finished the day with an equally gorgeous sunset.

More antics from Penny....she really got her foot stuck and rolled and rolled.  She did well in the little high chair, Hallie loves to move the bar stools around and thought she was very funny to so far away.

April 29 - Blake and Jared, and Brian and Maden played in a pickle ball tournament in the Shelley High School.  It was a fun little tournament.

Hallie thinks she's really clever to climb this tree.

April 30 - We actually had all of our grandkids together for a picture! Back row L to R, Clark (7), Annie (10), Maden (13), front row L to R, Ryder (7), Declan (5) Molly (8) holding Brody Bear, Hallie (4) holding Penny (4 months).

We grilled hamburgers for the first time!

Then there was basketball, Pickleball, scooter riding, swinging, and drawing with chalk.
