February 2023

February 2 - I got to take this Hallie girl out to lunch and shopping.  Her 4th birthday is on the 6th.  She chose McDonald's, then shopping at Walmart.  We had a grand time, she is such a fun, happy, silly, delightful little girl.

Later, we got to pick up Ryder from school and took him to eat, he chose A&W, and we had to take a picture with the bear, even though the sun was really bright.

February 4 - We got to tend this sweet little Penny while her sisters had a dance performance.  She slept, ate and slept some more.

February 5 - Little Penny was blessed by her daddy!

We also celebrated Miss Hallie's 4th birthday.  She had a fancy "Frozen" party.  She was absolutely thrilled.

February 7 - These elk have migrated from the mountains to fields looking for food, between Blackfoot and Fort Hall.  There are 100s of them.

February 10 - Beautiful Sunrise!

February 11 - Clark lost another tooth! We went to watch Annie's game, she played well! Maden asked a lot of math questions, some of which Blake knew and some he did not.

February 12 - Super Bowl! Brian and Ryder's favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs played the Philadelphia Eagles.  It was a really good game, and KC won at the very end!

February 13 - I had an ingrown toenail fixed by the wonderful Dr. Michael James.  I thought it would hurt worse after he fixed it, but it felt better almost immediately!

February 14 - We had a crazy snowstorm.  Thank you, Randy for coming to help "dig" us and Grandpa and Grandma out!

February 15 - This little Penny girl flips from her tummy to her back, she is not fond of tummy time at all!

February 17 - I got to watch these two cuties for a while.  It's so fun to have a sweet little baby in the house again.

February 19 - A very scary day.  My mother, Beth Chambers suffered a stroke, she was taken to EIRMC by ambulance, before it took off, Jared, Blake and my nephew Dallin gave her a blessing. I was able to ride in the ambulance with her.  It was really a bumpy ride. At the emergency room, they determined that the stroke was caused by a bleed in her brain.  Her left side was affected.  She was admitted to the ICU.

February 20 - Here she is in the ICU.  Her blood pressure is still very high.  They started giving her medication to lower it.

February 21 - I needed some pictures of happy things.  The Amaryllis  is blooming again! When I told Hallie that I was going to the hospital, she told me I would need snacks, so she got in the snack cupboard and fixed me some snacks.  It melted my heart!

February 22 - Mom was moved to the 4th floor, and started with some therapy.  Here she is sorting some blocks.  Her left side is totally affected and numb, including her vision.  She is a trooper, and does everything she is asked.

February 23 - My dad is stretching out mom's left hand.  We need to do it multiple times a day.  Molly and Hallie sent a video of them singing "Jesus Once Was a Little Child" to Grandma Beth, when she heard it, she started singing too.  It was very tender.

February 24 - Amaryllis looks beautiful!

February 25 - This cute little Penny girl is 2 months old!

February 26 - We celebrated Brian's 39th birthday a few days early. (his birthday is March 1)

Little miss Penny just chilling, then Hallie had too try laying under the arch.  Penny sleeping soundly on Grandpa's lap.

February 27 - Mom was moved to the 6th floor, which is the Rehab floor.  She got there because of her desire and hard work.  She is supposed to practice her smile, and try to get the left side up as high as the right.

February 28 - Blake bought a new car! It's a 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid Plug In.  Brian found it sitting at Lithia Ford in Idaho Falls.  We'll see how he likes it!

This is Mom's new room on the 6th Floor at EIRMC, the TV is very small, so we just watched the Jazz on my laptop.

January 2023

January 1 - We celebrated New Years Day with some grandkids.  Some had naps, some held Penny who spent most of her time hanging out with her Bili light, and most watched some TV.

January 2 - Ryder got to meet Penny!

January 3 - Hallie loves to hold Penny!

January 6 - Nikelle's 31st birthday! We made some brownies and Michelle came to see her too.

January 7 - Penny's still being lit up.  Brian's taking a turn with her, she wasn't very happy right then.

January 9 - Blake bought this Amaryllis just before Christmas, and here it is blooming.

January 11 - It just gets bigger and prettier.

Michelle came and helped me reorganize the pantry and the lazy Susan cupboard. As usual, I did not take any before pictures, just take my word, it is much better!

January 12 - The Amaryllis is beautiful! I had a bad cold and cough during this time, so this is about the only thing to take a picture of!

January 13 - Good thing I have this flower to watch!

January 14 - I finally felt good enough to go out, we went and watched Annie play basketball!

We went to Jason and Becky Young's house so that some of us could love on their BermeDoodle puppies.  They were so soft and just what was needed to get some "puppy therapy".

Oh, how we love this sweet little Christmas Penny!

January 15 - Molly and Hallie like to see the progress of the Amaryllis, everyone else likes to snuggle Penny.

January 19 - Grandma Beth finally got to meet Penny!

January 21 - For old times sake, we took Ryder to A&W, Maden and Annie got to come along too.  We used to take Ryder to A&W all the time when he was younger, and we always had to take a picture with the Bear.  It looks like he has grown up a lot!

We had a football playoff party because the Kansas City Chiefs were playing. We ate, we held Penny, we napped, and we watched the game.

January 22 - Look at those big eyes!

January 24 - I got to pick Ryder up from school, and this is what he chose to do for fun when we got home.  He was thoroughly enjoying this book.

January 25 - Penny is a month old!

I finally got the porch all decorated for winter.

January 26 - Hallie and I got to go to lunch at New Hong Kong with Randy.  She had to sit by him and kept him totally entertained.

January 27 - What a big, tiny little sweetheart!

Sure do appreciate all the help with snow removal!

January 28 - Penny got a manicure, then she got to try out the swing.

Ryder got to go another Jazz game with his parents.  This time, he even got to go down and watch the players warm up before the game, and go down on the floor and shoot a basket after the game! He had a great time, and was so thrilled that the Jazz won!

January 29 - Another Chief's football game.  Aubrey had to make a barricade of pillows when Brian got so excited that the Chief's were winning, then she had to go sit somewhere else because he was so excited!
