October 2021

October 3 - Blake is sporting a new look for some unknown reason, sweat pants, work boots and a button up shirt.

October 8 - Jared, Nikelle and I took all the kids to see The Addams Family 2, they all loved the movie, but I think they were all more excited to go inside the new McDonald's in Blackfoot.

October 11 - The first snow of this winter. A funny thing happened as I was taking pictures of the huge flakes out my back door, my neighbor behind me was doing the same thing.  We had a good laugh about it.

October 12 - More snow...

October 15 - My 63rd birthday! We went to lunch with my parents, Cindy sent me flowers, then we went to Idaho Falls to pick up some chairs with Jared, Molly and Hallie, then we ate at Arctic Circle.  It was a good day.

October 16 - We got to see Clark play in his first ever basketball game.  I think he was way excited that it's finally his turn to play.  It was fun, a good comical release! He's pretty tiny, but he's pretty good at dribbling the ball. We missed Maden's game because it was at the same time as Clark's.

Later in the afternoon, we got to see Annie play.  This is her 3rd year, and it's quite amazing how much more she understands the game and plays so good.

October 18 - I got to watch Hallie for a while, then we got to pick Molly up from the bus.  She had "bought" these funny glasses at school, and Hallie thought she should wear them every second.

October 23 - Nikelle, Molly, Hallie and I went to the Craft Show/Carnival at Snake River High School.  The girls loved all the fun carnival style games.  They actually had some really cute games that I had not seen before.

October 25 - Ryder came to hang out with me for awhile, we played the new game that involves dice, and a fidget bubble popper.  It was pretty fun.  Then, I took him and Molly (Nikelle and Hallie went too) to Matsuura's Club house for a Primary Program Practice/Family Home Evening.  It was really fun to listen and watch as they practiced singing "I Am a Child of God" in Japanese.  They love it.  Then, Yuki and Raymond gave them some Japanese treats.

October 27 - Nikelle and I took Hallie to the Snake River Library Story Time.  They went trick or treating to some classrooms at the high school. Hallie is such a cute little kitty.

I got to go spend the afternoon with my Annie girl.  She's turning 9 on the 30th. We had a late lunch at McDonald's, then went shopping at Target, then went to get ice cream at Reed's Dairy.  She loved that they had the pumpkins to vote on again this year.

October 28 - Nikelle took me to the trunk or treat for Groveland Elementary.  It was fun seeing all the kids and their costumes, I especially loved seeing this cute Dalmatian, aka Molly.

October 30 - Our sweet Annie is 9! I see from these pictures that it really is true, but I really can't believe it! Annie is a kind, creative, happy, energetic, talkative, inquisitive, fun loving girl.  We love her to pieces!

It was a busy day!  Starting out watching Maden play basketball.  He made a basket!

Then, Brian planned a party for Annie.  We had German Pancakes and Bacon, because those are Annie's favorites.  Then, she had a donut cake!

Next came presents! She was thrilled with the art supplies and clothes, but was over the top thrilled with the hover board from her dad!

Next, Annie's ballgame.  It was way fun that her team and their parents sang "Happy Birthday" to her after the game.

Now onto the Halloween celebrations! Jared and Nikelle were leopards! I got to take fun pictures of their animal family out on their swing! We got to see My niece, Michelle and her boys all in their fun costumes along with my nephew Dallin's little girl. They all went to Groveland School to the trunk or treat. Cute little Kitty Hallie, Molly, the Dalmation, Annie the Angel, Clark is Winnie the Pooh, Ryder is Mario. We got to have cute little Spiderman, Declan join us, and Maden was Aang from a show called The Last Avatar. They all had a lot of fun, and got a lot of "treats".

October 31 - Brian brought Aubrey and Declan and his kids to Jared's house to play pickle ball.

Then, they had a fun game of Egyptian!

Now for a report on the new house for October!

October 1 - They poured the cement for our driveway and front porch!

October 2 - Jared and Blake finished up the rough in wiring. It is a huge job! Well done, Jared! Molly and Hallie liked taking sandwiches to the New House to eat with Daddy and Grandpa.

October 6 - They're pouring the cement for the sidewalk and the patio!

October 8 - Insulation going in the walls!

October 9 - Insulation all in, outside doors delivered.

October 13 - The door leading to the garage and the patio doors are installed.  (the garage door needs to be switched so it swings the other way.)

October 15 - Blake, Jared and Randy bury a pipe for the sprinkling system. Sure is nice that Jared has connections that let him borrow this digger.

October 20 - The sheet rock is delivered, and some windows are installed and the front door is installed. There is one window that needs to be changed, can you spot the problem?

October 25 - Dirt is being moved around the house, there is sheet rock in the ceiling on the main floor, and more windows installed.

October 26 - The sheet rock is on most of the walls on the main floor.  It's really starting to look like a house!

October 27 - The main floor is completely sheet rocked, and the basement has the ceilings done. I think hanging sheet rock is a hard job!

October 28 - The garage is all done!

October 29 - Most of the sheet rock is hung in the basement!

September 2021

September 1 - Brian and Blake up in the mountain, just blending in.

September 2 - Happy Day- Jared took his Masters Electrician test and passed!
Brian all loaded up and ready to come home.  I think his pickup got the worst end of the deal.

September 3 - this is how you mow a lawn fast! And this is such a cute little helper!

September 4 - Eastern Idaho State Fair! All of us that live in Idaho went to the fair on Saturday morning.

Molly was a little scared of the horse, but Ryder coaxed her into petting its nose.

Hallie was very scared of the noisy big horses, so Brian carried her on his shoulders, and then somehow convinced her to ride the pony, she sat on it, but didn't look thrilled to be there!  Annie liked riding the pony.  Clark, Molly and Ryder liked checking out the tractors.

The kids and Nikelle had a great time on the rides.  We found my parents there too.  My mom got to be rider for a bit, then they would trade off.

Such cute kids having a great time!

September 5 - This is how Randy helps make popcorn with his sling.

September 11 - We got to watch Ryder play soccer.  He's very intense and plays hard and runs fast!

September 13 - Blake and I got to take a little trip to Las Vegas.  We stopped at a Red Lobster in St. George on the way down! It was hot in Vegas! This is the view out of our 37th floor window.

September 14 - We took the city bus up and down the strip. We loved seeing the palm trees.  We had to wear masks whenever we were indoors, Blake wore this fancy one when he was in his CME classes.  We stayed at the Encore by Wynn, it was really fancy.

September 15 - We got to go to the Donny Osmond Show! It was fantastic! He does a great job and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

September 16 - We took a break from the world and went to the Las Vegas Temple.  It was a perfect little rest from the world.

September 18 - It rained really hard on us on the way home.  Nikelle sent this cute picture of Hallie holding Grandma Beth's hand.  When we got home, the orchid had lost all of its blossoms.  We'll see if it blooms again any time soon.

September 19 - Hallie and Baby Paul are having a little snack while some of us are playing games.  They were so cute trying to have a little conversation.

September 20 - Hallie gets to hang out with me on Monday sometimes.  She is such  a little character,  she has to help with everything, bringing in groceries and making her Mac & Cheese.  She ate every drop!

September 21 - Blake is 66! Molly and Hallie loved singing Happy Birthday over a peach pie!

September 24 - Brian, Aubrey, Jared and Randy, Courtney and Ryder went to see Uncle Bart dig spuds.  It's a highlight of their lives in the fall!

September 25 - Got to go see Ryder play soccer again.  Blake, Randy, Ryder and I went to get some spuds, which I didn't take any pictures of.  But, I did take a picture of all the cats Merralee fed, then the chickens that came to eat too.

September 24 & 25 - We have a new temple in Pocatello! I had the opportunity to be a tour guide on the 24th.  It was an amazing experience.  It endeared me to the building and I can't wait to serve there! Randy, Courtney And Ryder toured the temple on the 24th.  Jared, Nikelle, Molly and Hallie got to go on the 25th.

Now, for the progress on the house!

September 3 - the plumbers are there and shingles have been delivered!

September 8 - The house is wrapped, plumbing is done!

September 17 - HVAC is done, Shingles are on, so Jared has started his job.  He brought some cute little helpers this time.

September 18 - Jared and Blake working hard on the wiring.  My nephew Joseph, you know the guy that drafted all my wishes into a house plan, came to see the progress of the house.  He brought his cute little girl, Chevy to help him inspect it.

September 23 - Jared brought a crew to help move the wiring along.

September 25 - Jared and Blake doing more wiring.  It's just amazing to me how much work it is and that it all works in the end.

September 29 - We have cement! They did the driveway!

September 30 - Jared brought another crew, and he even brought one of the big guns! We had Doug help!
