April 2021

April 2 - Randy and Courtney are finally getting their cement in the driveway and sidewalk!

April 3 - Annie is practicing with a bow that Blake bought, she stayed at it for a really long time.  I watch the Utah Jazz by streaming the games from my computer to the TV, Clark thought he had his own personal private showing on the lap top.

April 5 - Well, now it is my turn for surgery.  I had my right hip replaced.  It has been getting bad for quite awhile, and I decided I didn't want it to get as bad as the left one had. Blake had the week off to tend me. He was able to do my anesthesia, which was a huge comfort to me. The surgery went well, I had a lot of post op pain, but it only lasted a few hours.  It has all healed up nicely.

April 6 - This was the scene as Blake left to come visit me at the hospital.  I was glad I didn't have to go out in it!

April 8 - Cindy had these beautiful flowers sent to me on the day I got home from the hospital!

April 13 - We have some daffodils and crocus blooming!

April 15 - More snow!

April 16 - Randy rented a tractor to move some dirt around in his yard, then he and Blake went to Home Depot to get some supplies and look who they found there, Molly and Hallie!

April 17- Putting in Randy's sprinkler system.  Blake, Brian, Jared and Randy worked hard all day, but got it done!

April 19 - Look close, you'll see snowflakes!

April 24 - Brian moved into a new rental house in Ammon. The kids were really good, and they enjoyed a snack when the table got set up.  Maden was busy getting the TV and games hooked up.  Blake had to run to Home Depot, so Hallie got to go along. A pretty stray cat came to visit, Annie and Molly went out to pet it.  Molly had a dance recital, and Annie got to go see it!

April 27 - Mowing the lawn for the first time.  It was a little chilly, but Blake got it mowed and all the pine needles and pine cones picked up.

April 28 - Blake and Brian rented this cool post hole digger to help Kylee fix her fence. It worked really well.

April 29 - Randy had some gravel delivered for the driveway to the side of his house. So in typical redneck fashion, they figured out to use the snowplow on the four wheeler to spread the gravel out.  It actually worked really well.

April 30 - Molly and Hallie got to spend some time with some cousins.  Hallie and Kenzley weren't really sure that if they wanted to be friends, but I think with time, they will become great friends.  Molly, Michael and James had a great time playing at the school playground.  Molly Beth is hugging Grandma Beth.

Molly was so proud that she could give Hallie an underdog! I was pretty impressed too! The caption Nikelle gave the bottom picture was "Are they praying or pouting?" I'll give you a clue, it was time to go home, so ...... pouting.

March 2021

This goofy, handsome, nice guy called Brian turned 37 on March 1st! He celebrated by working hard!? We love you!

March 5 - My niece, Michelle came to help me and brought her 3 cute boys.  Michael and James found the scrub hats I had made for Blake, so they tried them on.  Michael loved his green hat and wore it the whole time.  We tried James' hat on baby Paul, he liked it until it fell over his eyes, then he wasn't quite as sure about it.

Mar 6 - We met Brian and his kids at Texas Roadhouse, Clark went to sleep on the bench, and Annie entertained herself by taking pictures with my phone.

March 7 - I ordered a new sewing machine desk/cabinet and it came in 7 boxes! No one wants to put it together, but we had to get it all off the front porch, so of course you load it up on a four wheeler to take it to the shed! Any volunteers to put it together?

March 20 - Happy 1st day of Spring?!?

March 23 - In keeping with the new tradition, I got to take this cute Molly out to lunch and to go shopping before her 6th birthday.  She was so excited and knew exactly what she wanted! I never would have thought to take her shopping to Cabela's.  She wanted to go shopping before we ate lunch. She really wanted to eat lunch at Chick-fil-A, but settled for Wendy's so we could eat inside the restaurant.

March 27 - Grandkid time! Molly, Annie and Hallie are having a great time painting some egg pictures.

Clark and Ryder love playing the Switch, Annie, Molly and Hallie are having some fun coloring egg pictures.

Then, the real fun begins! Coloring real eggs! I'm sure glad Courtney came to be the Hallie helper! I bought shirts for the kids to wear on top of their own shirts, so no one went home with stained clothes.

They all had fun coloring their eggs!

Little Miss Hallie loved the stickers that came with the egg dyeing kits, and Grandpa helped her put stickers all over her arms, face and shirt.  The other kids thought she was way funny when she showed them.

The reason Maden wasn't in on all the Easter egg fun was because he got to the go the 3D Archery Shoot with Brian, Randy and Jared.  He said it was really fun!

Now it's Treasure Hunt time! The first round they had to find things with their names on.  And they were actually kind of hidden.

The next 2 rounds were more of a free for all! Brian, Randy and Jared turned in circles and let all the candy and plastic eggs fly all around the yard.  The kids love it though.

We celebrated Molly with a candle in a cookie, because we wouldn't all see her on her real birthday.  Ryder, Molly and Hallie ended the day watching the Lion King VHS style.

March 31 - Molly is 6! How is that possible! Oh how she has changed, but stayed the same.  She's such a sweet, happy, kind girl! We love you Molly!

Here's the birthday girl before school and before her Safari Party, which she said was way fun!

February 2021

Feb. 2 - Counter tops and backsplash in Randy and Courtney's new house!  That's Cindy's fingers holding the backsplash up.

Feb. 5 - Cindy's standing on the counter to help Randy put the blinds in the window. This is after Randy and Courtney signed the papers at closing! The house is theirs!

Feb. 6 - Move in day! This is the only picture I took all day, and no one took any pictures of the moving process either.  It all went really smoothly and they got all moved it.  Brian's kids and Ryder got hang out with me while everyone was helping move.

Feb. 7 - Cindy and Ken's last day here, Randy, Jared and Cindy got in a game of Egyptian before Randy had to go to work.

We celebrated Hallie's birthday (it was on the 6th), and Grandma Beth's birthday (it is on the 9th).  Hallie loved the singing!

Hallie and Grandpa had fun reading some stories and singing "popcorn".  Hallie got to open some presents, lots of "Mickey" stuff.

Hallie loved showing me all her "Mickey" stuff and wearing her new blanket.  She's such a cutie.

Feb. 10 - I got to take this cute little 2 year old to lunch and to go shopping for her birthday present.  She's lucky enough that her mom got to come with us.  I'm really liking this new tradition for the kid's birthdays.

Feb.  12 - Well, the middle of February looks a little different than the middle of January.  We are so grateful for Randy for plowing us out.

Feb. 13 - Randy and Courtney hosted a pizza party in their beautiful new home. Sadly, these are the only pictures I have of the finished house.

After pizza, we went bowling at Pindale Lanes.  The kids all had a great time.  Hallie wasn't very happy about sitting on my lap instead of bowling, so she got a turn at the very end.

The grownups had a great time bowling, too.  There is just not a way to get real flattering pictures of bowling.  But, at least it's documented that they all were there, and that they bowled.

This is all of my granddaughters enjoying some ice cream.  Annie was very brave and let her dad pull out a molar that was loose, but wouldn't come out. She was relieved when it was out.

Feb. 19 - Now, Blake gets to spend some time with baby Paul.  We love having him come to visit.

Feb. 20 - More winter weather! Ryder had fun plowing with his dad for a little while.

Blake has started working at Teton Surgery Center in Idaho Falls, and he disliked the scrub hats there, so he went and chose some fabric and I made him up some that he really likes. Pretty fancy.

Feb. 26 - Blake was told by his knee doctor that he needed to ride a bike to strengthen his quads after surgery.  Since the weather turned into winter, he got a membership at Anytime Fitness so he can go ride the bikes there.

Feb. 27 - Annie had a great time helping me make noodles for the chicken noodle soup.  She did a great job, and was very careful to cut them thin and then separate them and put them in the soup.

With the help of Brian's friend Kylee, Nikelle and I were successful in planning a surprise party to celebrate Brian's birthday.  (His birthday is March 1) He was very surprised and the kids loved surprising him with cards and signs.  Hallie loves Brian, and had to be on his lap as we sang and ate soup. He got some new scrub hats too.

It's so fun to see Brian so happy.  We love you!
