October 2024

October 1 - I redecorated the front porch and entry way for fall.  I love these fresh changes.

October 2 - Shauna and I decorated Mom and Dad's door at Parkwood Meadows for Halloween.  It turned out kind of fun.

I got to take this cute little Declan shopping and to eat.  He chose to go to CAL's and bought this fun little race car.  Then he chose to go to Pizza Pie Cafe to eat.  He's such a happy, fun little guy.  He'll turn 7 on the 7th!

October 6 - Blake and I drove to Sedona, Arizona.  This was the scenery down through southern Utah and into Arizona.  We stopped at a C-Store and Blake bought this huge hotdog.

October 7 - We went on a Pink Jeep Tour to see some of the unique rock formations.  It was a fun ride, but it was also very hot!

I do these digital paint by number paintings.  I thought it was funny that this was the daily puzzle, a pink jeep!

October 8 - We drove from Sedona to Snowflake, Arizona. We went to the Snowflake temple.  It is a beautiful small temple, inside and out.

The sunset was beautiful on the way back to Sedona.

October 9 - We drove from Sedona to Phoenix.  This was the first really large cactus we saw.  They are very intriguing to me.

We were able to go to the Phoenix temple.  I loved the palm trees and cactus and flowers on the grounds.I even saw a little baby Jack Rabbit jump out of the flowers. It was too fast to get a picture.

October 11 - We went to the Red Cliffs Temple in St. George.  Once again, the grounds are amazing.

We also went to the newly refurbished St. George Temple.  It's very beautiful and unique.  We are really enjoying this little hobby of going to different temples.

October 12 - I enjoyed this beautiful sunset on our drive home from St. George.

Penny was so excited to bring me an early birthday present!

October 13 - Celebrating turning 66 two days early, and ending the day with a wonderful sunset.

October 14 - Another early birthday celebration. We went to The Hickory in Rexburg.  We shared this meal, and it was very tasty!

October 15 - I got these beautiful roses and lilies from Cindy and Ken on my actual birthday.  They really brightened my day!

Blake brought me another beautiful orchid! I love the dainty little purple blooms.

October 15 - The Brody Tree just keeps getting deeper pink coloring, and the blossoms are huge! Then there was a huge full moon in the eastern sky.

October 17 - Penny was really serious about watching "Mickey" while I folded clothes.

October 18 - Snow still on the ground at !2:30pm at the Pocatello Temple! And another bright full moon.

October 19 - A beautiful start to the day!  This picture is proof that Carter, Branson and Avery Taylor came to my house.  It's always so nice to have them come and stay.  Sorry about the whopping you took in Skyjo, Carter.

October 20 - Such nice weather for Annie, Ryder, Molly and Hallie to play outside.  Scottlynn and Penny are almost actually playing together.

October 21 - We got a very nice surprise today! Randy and Courtney brought Cole Banks Purcell into our family! He weight 6.12lbs and is 20.5 inches long.  Ryder stayed with us and we took him to be the first family member to meet his little brother.  Such a wonderful, little miracle baby! We are thrilled!

We couldn't be more happy to welcome grand baby number 12 into our clan! Such a happy day!

October 22 - Another beautiful day!  I was teasing Ryder that his backpack was as big as him.  He had to prove me wrong. It was fun to have him stay with us for a couple of nights.

October 23 - This was the beautiful sight we saw in the Western sky when we opened the garage door to take Ryder to school at 7:45 am.  He told me I better take a picture so it would be in my blog book!

October 26 - We took the kids to the Snake River High School Carnival.  They love the games and getting the candy.  Penny thought she was just as big as everyone else.

I love these action pictures of them stomping on the foot pads to shoot the rocket in the air.  They all had a lot of fun.

Blake had to dig a hole in Michelle and Adam's yard to fix the sprinkler system.  The hole was too small, so Michelle had to climb down in it, then Jared stood on his head to reach down in it.  But, they got it fixed.

October 27 - We went to Brian and Aubrey's house, Scottlynn was having some good Grandpa time, and Penny was having some good swinging time in the baby swing.

We were celebrating Annie, who turns 12 on the 30th! The kids decided the best advantage point to watch Annie open her presents was in Scottlynn's play yard.

October 28 - Ii got to spend most of the afternoon with Annie! She chose to eat at Chick Fil A. No surprise there! Im glad take her somewhere she loves! Then we went shopping at Hobby Lobby and JoAnne's.  She bought supplies to make rubber band bracelets, and a basket to keep them all organized.  We went to the traditional pumpkin voting contest at Reed's Dairy.  When I got home, she sent me a picture, showing me that she already had made the bracelet I requested.  It was a fun afternoon, I love spending time with such a happy, pleasant, talkative, inquisitive beautiful almost 12 year old Annie girl!

Cole is a week old! I just can't get enough of this little guy, so fresh from heaven!

October 29 - Penny loves to play with this shopping cart. It's so fun to watch her.

October 30 - Cole with his eyes open! So sweet!

Such a precious little man!

October 31 - Penny backed up so she was standing just like Grandpa.  Fun at the cold Trunk or Treat! Penny was very scared of Ryder's mask! Michelle and I were about frozen by the time we decided to be done handing out candy! Then these three trick or treaters showed up at my door along with Randy and Happy.
